All that combination will do is damage to the skin. Mange is caused by a mite that burrows into and through the skin; you need a medicated shampoo, try Dogs n Mites shampoo, they made it for dogs but i used for my cats mange, it works extremely good here is the link to the web side i got it from – skinimprovements.com.

It would be good to merge this topic with your previous post (by updating the original post) rather than splitting them into two topics that asked the same question.

Okay, this borax and peroxide treatment is a home remedy that is claimed by some to be effective against mange. Essentially, you mix borax and peroxide in water and bathe the animal. However, leave the solution on the hair; do not wash off the solution with water. Some cat owners have reported that their cats vomited after treatment.

However, you need to keep the cat indoors with you. It won’t be effective if after bathing, the cat goes out and “re-infects” itself over and over in the outdoors. In other words, if you are going to treat this cat, you are making a decision to keep the cat for good. Otherwise, don’t be surprised that after all your hard work of curing the cat of mange, your cat returns with mange again one day.
